Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay in Redding, CA and Bikes

Earlier tonight, the Redding Community Activities Commission voted to allow bikers to ride across the rapidly becoming famous Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay Exploration Park.....the incredible glass bridge over the gorgeous Sacramento River...as long as they slow down to 5 MPH. After an hour of testimony from citizens on both sides of the issue, the Commission voted 2-1 to allow bikers to ride across the bridge but they must slow down to 5 MPH.
The Commission will conduct a large public info and awarness campaign to make this well known, as well as posting signs at various locations along the Sacramento River Trail, in the Turtle Bay parking areas, and near the bridge itself.
If you have not seen the Sundial Bridge in Redding, it is well worth the trip. Located just off of Highway 44 at the Convention Center exit....it is a beautiful sight...and a fun place to spend an hour....just enjoying the bridge and the beautiful River.

If you have not read this book, you must....to fully appreciate where we are in the world today. This is one of the best books that I have read, and as a history buff....he tells it like it is today. Friedman, as others have said, is brilliant in this book.
Once you start reading it, you will not be able to put it down.
From time to time, I am going to blog on certain points he makes, for he is "right on".
